Abderrahmane Ngaïdé dédie ses poèmes aux victimes des "Evènements de 1989"

altDakar, 1-er avr (APS) – L’historien d’origine mauritanienne Abderrahmane Ngaïdé a indiqué, vendredi à Dakar, que son recueil de poèmes "Dans le creux de l’errance" était dédié aux morts victimes des "Evènements d’avril 1989" entre le Sénégal et la Mauritanie.

‘’(Le livre) "Dans le creux de l’errance", en réalité, est dédié à tous ceux qui ont perdu la vie lors des événements d’avril 1989, qu’on appelle de manière pudique "Evénements Sénégal-Mauritanie" où des milliers de Mauritaniens comme moi, ont été déportés vers le Sénégal, d’autres ont été exécutés’’, a-t-il déclaré.

Enseignant-chercheur au Département d’histoire de l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD), M. Ngaïdé s’exprimait lors du lancement de ses deux ouvrages "Le bivouac. Suivi de Fresques d’exil" et ‘’Dans le creux de l’errance’’.

‘’L’objectif, a-t-il insisté, ce n’est pas de dénoncer mais, c’est de faire vivre cette mémoire-là des disparus qui sont encore parmi nous heureusement’’. Selon lui, son ouvrage est aussi traversé par une espérance.

‘’C’est pourquoi, a-t-il dit, le dernier poème est un hymne, pleurs pour l’harmonie. Heureusement, j’ai pris les pleurs puisqu’il y a de l’eau même si le vase est sec. A la fin, il y a de l’eau qui permet d’atténuer les douleurs.’’

Selon l’auteur, la photo de la couverture cadre bien avec l’actualité en cours en Afrique de l’Ouest. ‘’Tout simplement, c’est une photo qui a été prise à Yamoussoukro (Côte d’Ivoire), dans l’Hôtel des députés, c’est un vase qui était debout que j’ai pris comme ça et je voulais figurer le fonds’’, a-t-il fait observer.

‘’Mais, le fonds me permet de remonter pour aller chercher l’air, cet oxygène nécessaire à la vie. Ce n’est pas une perte plutôt, une quête de sens quelque part’’, a-t-il ajouté rappelant que ces poèmes sont nés au bord de Toubab Dialaw, un lieu idyllique de la côte sénégalaise.

‘’Dans les années 1989, j’étais encore tout broussard venant de la Mauritanie, cherchant à m’incruster quelque part un objet, cette nostalgie qui commençait à me gagner. Pour noyer cette nostalgie, il fallait prendre sa plume, fixer ce qui traversait mon corps et mon esprit’’, a-t-il rappelé.

Abderrahmane Ngaïdé a indiqué qu’en 1998, Dieu a fait encore qu’il habitait au bord de la Seine en France, donc au bord de l’eau. C’est ce qui a fait qu’il a continué à écrire "Dans le creux de l’errance".

‘’Mon objectif, c’est de raconter en tant qu’historien par d’autres mots. La poésie, c’est le côté de la littérature qui exprime le mieux ce que l’individu ressent le mieux. Ce n’est pas de la fiction mais, c’est une réalité qu’on est en train de coucher sur un papier’’.

‘’J’avais un rapport très sentimental avec l’événement qui m’a bouleversé. Tout d’un coup, j’ai dit positive cet événement pour (ne pas tomber dans la folie). Aujourd’hui, je n’ai pas un rapport traumatique avec l’événement, je le considère comme un événement normal de la vie, même si ce n’est pas normal de tuer les autres’’, s’est-il défendu.

Selon l’auteur, ‘’la volonté d’oublier sanctifie l’oubli’’. Il a insisté sur ce point : ‘’Je n’oublierai jamais l’événement de 1989 fait partie de mon corps.’’

‘’Comment pardonner, si on oublie. Si tu oublies complètement, tu es amnésique. On ne peut pardonner quelque chose d’inoubliable. Je suis pour le pardon mais, le pardon n’est pas encore demandé (par le gouvernement mauritanien)’’, a-t-il souligné.

‘’Je suis pour la démarche que l’Etat demande pardon. C’est un crime administratif et collectif. Et qui doit être sanctionné, si ce n’est l’Etat’’, a-t-il plaidé.

Abderrahmane Ngaïdé a publié plusieurs articles scientifiques dans des revues spécialisées et dans des ouvrages collectifs. Il l’auteur d’un essai politique : "La Mauritanie à l’épreuve du millénaire. Ma foi de « citoyen »" (L’Harmattan, 2006).
