L´ancien dictateur mauritanien Ould Taya écrit ses mémoires

altAprès « la Mauritanie contre vents et marées » de Moktar Ould Daddah, Maaouiya Ould Sid’Ahmed Taya devient le second chef d’Etat mauritanien à publier ses mémoires. En exil à Doha (Qatar) depuis août 2005, Ould Taya met la dernière main à la rédaction de ses Mémoires . Le diwan (Cabinet) de l’Emir du Qatar, Cheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani, a mis à sa disposition une équipe d’écrivains biographes, rédacteurs professionnels, correcteurs, metteurs en pages, qui l’ont aidé dans la rédaction de ses mémoires. 470 pages retracent sa vie depuis sa naissance à Atar en 1943 jusqu’au coup d’état militaire qui l’a évincé du pouvoir en août 2005. Ould Taya se considère comme ''le père de la démocratie mauritanienne'', comme Feu Mokhtar Ould Daddah est à juste titre surnommé ''le père de la Nation mauritanienne ». Il défend le bilan de ses 21ans à la tête de l’Etat mauritanien (décembre 1984-août 2005). Ould Taya parle de ses relations avec les colonels Ely Ould Mohamed Vall et Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz quand il était au pouvoir. Il consacre aussi un paragraphe à l’ancien président de la République Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi.

Ould Taya évoque aussi dans ses mémoires « le contentieux avec le Sénégal en 1989 » et donne sa version sur les déportations et les atrocités commises contre des milliers de négro-mauritaniens en 1989 et 1990. Il revient aussi dans ses mémoires sur la candidature de l’ancien président Ould Haidalla en novembre 2003 et sur le putsch du 8 juin 2003 qui a vu l’assassinat de l’ancien chef d’Etat-major des armées, le colonel Mohamed Lemine Ould N’Deyane. D’aucuns y voient dans la publication de ses mémoires un imminent retour sur la scène politique nationale d’Ould Taya.

L'ethno génocidaire «Maaouiya Ould Sid’Ahmed Taya est responsable des exactions contre la communauté négro-mauritanienne en 1989 et 1990-1991. Plusieurs plaintes ont déposées contre Ould Taya dont celles des deux militaires : Ibnou Diagana et feu Ousmane Dia. Une autre plainte pour crimes contre l'humanité a été déposée contre lui par Idy Yero à Bruxelles. Il y aussi d’autres plaintes contre l'ancien président Ould Sid'Ahmed Taya pour crimes contre l'humanité(...).
