Après avoir mobilisé des milliers de manifestants la COD annule son sit-in.

altSelon le reporter de l’ANI, la Coordination de l’opposition a décidé, dans la nuit du mercredi à jeudi, d’annuler le sit-in « permanent » qu’elle prévoyait sur la place Ibn Abbass, après avoir constaté qu’une violente intervention des forces de l’ordre se préparait pour le disperser.
Ce sit-in avait été précédé par une marche à laquelle ont participé des milliers de sympathisants de l’opposition pour exiger le départ du président Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz du pouvoir.
Au cours d’un rassemblement sur la place Ibn Abbass, les dirigeants de la COD se sont succédés à la parole pour fustiger la politique du régime actuel qu’ils accusent d’avoir « échoué » dans la gestion des affaires du pays.
Les orateurs de l’opposition ont également dénoncé la détérioration allant de mal en pis des conditions de vie des populations.
Intervenant à cette occasion l’ancien président Ely Ould Mohamed Valla qualifié le régime actuel de « gouvernement de la paupérisation des populations », alors que Saleh Ould Hanenna n’a pas hésité à qualifier le président Ould Abdel Aziz de « prévaricateur».
Depuis le début de la marche de la COD, les forces de l’ordre ont déployé un dispositif de sécurité qui observait à distance les manifestants.
Ce dispositif a été renforcé avec la tombée de la nuit, ce qui, selon les observateurs, a amené l’opposition à ramener son sit-in à un date ulterieure.
